Criteria of Eligibility for Admission

1. Nationality:

Candidates must be citizens of India / or dependents of Non-Resident Indians

2. Admission Requirements:

For B.Pharm :

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English put together, are eligible as per KUHS norms.

For D.Pharm

A pass in any of the following examination with Physics , Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

I. Intermediate examination in science 

II. The first year of 3 year degree course in science

III. 10 + 2 examination (Academic stream) in science.

IV. Pre degree examination or

V. Any other qualification approved by PCI as equivalent to any of these above examinations.

N.B: However candidates who have passed there qualifying examination from outside the state of Kerala shall produce the certificate of recognition and equivalency of qualifying examination from Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. This should be furnished at the time of admission. Eligibility for admission to the candidates belonging to OBC, OEC, SC / ST will be as per the requirements of the DME

3. Duration:

The course study for the B. Pharm. shall extend over a period of 4 academic years (8 semesters of six months duration each).

The course study for the D. Pharm. shall extend over a period of 2 academic years

4. Relaxation in Marks:

There will be usual mark relaxation as per the GO's issued by Government of Kerala for socially and Educationally Backward classes (SEBC) Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Eligible Castes (OEC).

Those candidates claiming relaxation of mark shall produce necessary certificate from the authority concerned. There will be no reservation of seats for SEBC and or SC/ST candidates under Management Quota.

5. Age:

Applicants should complete 17 year of age as on 31st December 2023. No age relaxation will be allowed.

Copy of relevant page of school record namely SSLC/CBSC/ICSC certificate showing the dated of birth or copy Birth certificate from appropriate authority should be furnished along with the application attested by Gusseted Officer/Head of the Institution where the student had last studded.

6. Online Application and Allotment Process:

Online Application will be verified based on the mark obtained in the qualifying examination.

Selection memo will be provided after verifying all the Certificate/Documents attached with the Application form.

7. How to Apply Online:

  • The application should be submitted online on our website:
  • Application for B.Pharm / D.Pharm shall be submitted with paying the Application Fee for the programe.
  • The applicant should have a valid e-mail id.
  • The applicant should pay the prescribed application fee through online bank transfer as mentioned in Clause 8. Before filling the application in online it is mandatory to enter the details of the online payment details along with date of transfer.

8. Application fee will be as follows:

B.PHARM: Rs.1000/-
The detail of the course is available in the website as well as prospectus. Application fee and admission processing fee are not refundable. Account details for the online transfer facilities are given in clause no. 10

9. Application Details:

The applicant should upload the following documents / or certificates duly attested by a gazetted officer or Head of the Institution last studied while applying online.

  • Recent passport size colour photographs taken in a white / light coloured back ground. The image should be in JPEG format. Maximum size for photograph 200 KB and image dimension is 120x 150 px (4.23 x 5.29 cm)
  • 10th and 12th pass certificate for proof of date of birth of the applicant
  • Mark list of qualifying examinations.
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Eligibility Certificate, Migration Certificate (if applicable)
  • In cases where the candidates claim any sort of reservation / preferences they should produce the relevant documents to prove such claims at the time of application.
  • Certificate in proof of SEBC/OEC/SC/ST status obtained from Village Officer and certified by Tahsildar.

10. Online Application Details

The link for Application is available in the website - The last date of submitting online application is 19-06-2023 . The fee for application is Rs. 1000/- which can be remitted online in favour of KSSBCMA, Account Number: 0552053000001348, IFSC-SIBL0000552 with SIB North Chalakudy Branch.

11. Further Information

The application submitted should be complete in all respects. The application which is not accompanied by required documents/ or certificates will be summarily rejected without further intimation. Documents / certificates furnished after submission of application will not be entertained under any circumstances.

The Application not accompanied by above mentioned documents in proof of claims made therein will be summarily rejected after the closing date.

12. Last Date of Application

No opportunity will be given to incorporate any details or document after the closing date of the application. Late and incomplete applications will be rejected.

13. NRI Seats:

15% of the total seats are marked for NRI candidates.

14. How to apply for NRI Seats:

The applicant opting for NRI seat should secure minimum marks required for selection to the course. The documents to be presented for admission under NRI quota are

  • Sponsorship Certificate
  • Attested copy of the passport of the sponsor
  • The attested copy of the relevant page of the passport where Employment Visa is stamped and if it is not submitted the employment certificate duly attested by the Indian Embassy or consulate

*Relationship with the sponsor should comply the Government order No. GO(MS) No.193/2013/H&FWD dtd.22.05.2013 & KUHS Order No.2836/ACB/kuhs/2014,dated 12.06.2014.
